Day 1 takes you from Ho Chi Minh City through My Tho and Ben Tre, with stops at Vinh Trang Pagoda, a river cruise, bee farm, folk music, coconut candy factory and a horse-car ride, before spending the night in Can Tho, the “capital of the Southwest”. Day 2 starts at sunrise with the famous Cai Rang floating market before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Islands, rivers and the capital of the Southwest

Hotel pickup in Ho Chi Minh City

Pick-up at your hotel and comfortable transfer to Ben Tre province by air-conditioned bus. Watch the scenery slowly change from busy city streets to peaceful countryside.

Vinh Trang Pagoda

Visit one of the most famous Buddhist temples in the Mekong Delta, known for its unique blend of European and Asian architecture surrounded by lush gardens.

Late morning

Motorboat cruise on the Mekong

Board a motorboat at My Tho pier and cruise the Mekong River past the four famous islands: Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn and Turtle Island. Visit the bee farm, taste honey tea and tropical fruits, and enjoy a live traditional folk music performance.

Afternoon

Rowing boat, coconut candy and horse-car ride

Row silently through shaded canals and coconut groves. Visit a coconut candy workshop and a rice paper factory. Take a horse-car ride to the restaurant for lunch, then relax in a hammock in the garden.

Transfer to Can Tho

Continue by bus to Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta. Check in at hotel or optional homestay with dinner included. Free evening to discover the city and its riverside promenade.

Cai Rang floating market by sampan

Board a sampan to explore Cai Rang, the most famous floating market in the Mekong Delta. Marvel at the abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables and local products traded directly from boat to boat. Pull up alongside the merchant boats to trade and experience authentic market life.

Late morning

Return to Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City by air-conditioned bus with a breakfast stop on the way. Drop-off at your hotel around midday.
