Tour Itinary

The most efficient way to experience the Cu Chi Tunnels from Ho Chi Minh City. In just half a day, visit the original Ben Duoc tunnel site used by Viet Cong fighters during the Vietnam War, watch a wartime propaganda film, explore the underground network, see bomb craters, American tank remains and the concealed weapon factory. Back in the city by lunchtime or before dinner.

Available as a morning departure (08:00) or afternoon departure (13:00). The best introduction to the history and resilience of the Vietnamese people.

Two departure options: Morning (08:00 pickup, return ~14:30) or Afternoon (13:00 pickup, return ~19:00). Both tours visit the same Ben Duoc site.

Hotel pickup in Ho Chi Minh City center

Pick-up at your hotel and transfer northwest by air-conditioned bus to Cu Chi district, approximately 70 to 90 km from the city center.

Handicraft factory stop

Stop at a local handicraft factory where disabled workers create intricate decorative products from eggshells. A brief but meaningful visit that supports the local community.

On arrival

Wartime propaganda film

Watch a short introductory wartime film showing how the tunnels were constructed and how local guerrilla fighters used them to resist better-equipped American and South Vietnamese forces.

Guided tunnel exploration

Spend over an hour exploring the Cu Chi tunnel complex with your guide. See bomb craters from 500-pound B52 bombs, mantraps, the remains of an American tank, the underground weapon factory and the concealed kitchen where smoke was vented far from the cooking area. Crawl through a section of the original tunnels used by soldiers and civilians during the war.
